Through its $300 million ecosystem fund, Harmony protocol offers investments and grants to promising projects building on its chain. Grants for projects across different categories such as wallets, metaverse, NFTs, and gaming were approved in March 2022. We present an overview of the approved projects to understand what they do:

GameFi

Planet League (@planetleague)

Planet League is a global eSports competition and league targeting casual gamers playing games of skill on smartphones, PCs, and consoles. The Planet League Stars ($PLS) is a token used in this game’s ecosystem. Planet League supports Playstation and Xbox consoles and games like FIFA and NBA 2K. The platform is working on supporting more devices and games.

CoalMiner (@CoalMiner_Game)

CoalMiner is a P2E game with a gamified liquidity pool, staking, and an internal marketplace. The game is a semi-passive income source with a supportive community. The game is wallet-based, with some of the supported wallets being Wallet Connect, MetaMask, Binance Wallet, and Coinbase Wallet. As players are mining coal, they will come across $GEMS, rare mineral crystals that can be sold on open marketplaces or taken to the jeweler.

Duelist King (@DuelistKingNFT)

Duelist King is a fully-fledged blockchain-agnostic online NFT card game platform. This game aims to champion the democratization and tokenization of card games. The ultimate goal is to change how people participate, play, and earn in card games.

TavernDAO (@TavernDAO)

TavernDAO is an all-in-one play-to-earn GameFi platform that seeks to solve the challenges of game developers, guilds, and scholars. Guilds that join the TavernDAO enjoy scholarship postings, game deals, management tools, IDO Launchpad, and allocation of $TVN.

BlokTime

BlokTime is a new measurement of the product’s life cycle time. This protocol leverages assets from new markets through liquidity based on the ability to manage product lifecycles from IP up to the commercialization stage. BlokTime measures a product’s life to create new revenue cycles in token economies, metaverses, and DeFi markets.

Paracity is building a virtual world with urbanistic and architectural expertise from the real world. The project will consider all the notions of development such as environment, scaling, sustainability, and display.

MuseDAO

MuseDAO is a decentralized group for managing intellectual property in the screenplay and performing arts. The DAO is also involved in producing plays, movies, and TV shows in different formats to bring these industries to the Web 3 and blockchain worlds. The DAO is formed by producers, artists, and people with technical backgrounds in film and theater from different cities worldwide.

Vibe Stream Network is a platform providing a home for thousands of artists, musicians, fans, and producers on the blockchain through innovative smart contracts. The network brings content, connections and creates a community within the Harmony ecosystem.

MetaSafe

MetaSafe is a Web 3 application platform powered by Gryphons. The end goal is to leverage the available memory and processing power of Gryphon (an ever-connected computer) to provide privacy and network security. MetaSafe is creating many applications, and the first three are Identity and Access Management (IAM), DDOS Attack Protection, and People’s VPN.

Block to Basics

Block to Basics is an Introductory Blockchain Camp for Kids. Its focus is on conducting exploratory research on implementing early-life digital literacy training in low-tech environments throughout Jamaica. The program is intended to take six months and targets over 5,000 pupils aged 7 to 16.

Web3-Ghost-Template

Web3-Ghost-Template is an open-source Web 3 client that consumes the content of a headless CMS and displays information based on your activity on the blockchain and the tokens you have. The functionality enables gamification of communities and the ability to gate access to information based on every community member’s behavior.

PHPH1-A Harmony ONE Node API PHP Class

PHPH1 is a PHP class bridging Harmony ONE Node API to PHP. Many scripting languages will be able to query the PHP class. The class is designed to ensure the requested data is in the correct format and validate and return information. Web developers don’t have to write the code.

ETHRio is the gateway for international blockchain projects in Latin America. It is also the starting point for global projects to meet their communities, understand the unique landscape, and grow their user base. ThreeFoldComics wants to launch 6,200 multi-chain NFTs for “World’s First Glow-In-The-Dark Comic.” These NFTs will include digital and physical editions at the mint and annual airdrops. There will also be 10+ years’ worth of B&W 50+ page comics.

Chedda (@chedda_crypto)

Chedda is an NFT launchpad and a rewards platform that incentivizes users to contribute and win NFTs. Lenders can deposit base currency, providing liquidity and earning interest. On the other hand, borrowers can deposit whitelisted tokens as collateral and withdraw the base token.

CurioDAO (@curio_invest)

CurioDAO is a decentralized finance hub for tokenized real-world assets. It has four primitives; an AMM, an NFT marketplace, a stablecoin, and a hardware-based ledger.

Kalamint is an NFT marketplace that is now extending to Harmony. The platform already has amazing NFT collections from artists from all over the world.

CryptoDFS

CryptoDFS is blockchain’s first daily fantasy sports platform. Users can create a lineup, mint their team/player as an NFT, and stake it in a contest.

Tradescrow

Tradescrow allows web users to trade any amount of assets trustlessly. The platform deploys smart contracts that are reliable and transparent. Users can easily trade their assets on Harmony, Fantom, Polygon, and Avalanche.

Naksh (@NakshMarket)

Naksh is an NFT marketplace for Indian artists and artisans. Its goal is to grant artists who work on digital and physical mediums equal opportunity. New artists can create a community through this platform and increase their earnings. Users can also create a collection of their favorite NFTs on this platform.

Blockchain Basketball Betting

Blockchain Basketball Betting is the first decentralized sports betting platform. Users of this platform can place bets without the interference of third-party sportsbooks.

DAO/Protocol

GetMyProof (@GetMyProof)

GetMyProof is building an individual proof of work protocol. The protocol allows users to turn their wallets into a Web 3 contribution portfolio. Members can now build up their contribution and own their work, while organizers can better understand and develop their organizations.

Harmony Read-Only Staking Precompile

Even though smart contracts can now participate in staking on Harmony protocol, these smart contracts don’t have a way to read the staking data. The Harmony Read-Only Staking Precompile solves this challenge to bring a trustless liquid solution.
