Harmony Protocol Approves 13 More Grants in First Half of February 2022
The protocol constantly reviews submitted proposals; we take a look at some of the approved projects that have won grants in February
Harmony has one of the biggest ecosystem grants supporting the continued growth of the blockchain. The protocol constantly reviews submitted proposals; we take a look at some of the approved projects that have won grants in the first half of February 2022:
DeFi
Hermes DeFi (@hermesdefi)
Hermes DeFi is a DeFi platform where users can earn rewards and build wealth through liquidity aggregation services. $PLUTUS, a native token on Harmony, is the reward token. This project dubs itself as the ‘Olympus of DeFi”. It aims to facilitate trading on decentralized exchanges and provide liquidity through a collection of funds locked in a smart contract.
Cerebral Gaming DAO (@CGD_ONE)
Cerebral Gaming DAO is a decentralized investment fund for NFT funds and gamefi projects. The approach is similar to a centralized or mutual fund but with digital assets on the blockchain. Even though CGD plans to expand to other blockchains, its DAO will always be on the Harmony protocol. Players who play games such as Cosmic Universe, Mars Colony, DeFi Kingdoms, and DeFimons will be incentivized to partake in lands purchased by the DAO through 20% kickbacks every week.
InsurAce (@InsurAce_io)
InsurAce is a decentralized multichain insurance protocol for NFT and DeFi users. Users are assured that their investments and assets are insured against smart contract vulnerability, stablecoin depeg risk, IDO event risk, and custodian risk. Those who provide capital to underwrite insurance risks in the underwriting pool are always rewarded with $INSUR tokens. The system is deployed across multiple blockchains to allow for flexibility.
NFTs
Blockchain Monster Hunt (@bcmhunt)
Blockchain Monster Hunt is the world’s first multichain metaverse game. The game connects people from different blockchain communities. Pokemon Go inspires BCMHunt; players play to earn in the diverse monsters’ world. Blockchain Monster Coin (BCMC), its native token, can be moved across different blockchains as players treasure-hunt. The BCMHunt Mainnet was launched in January 2022, and the project is now on the lookout for game ambassadors.
XP.Network (@xpnetwork_)
XP.Network is an ecosystem centered around a multichain bridge for minted NFTs. This bridge is created to build a single global NFT market. XP.Network tears down the barriers and makes it easier for NFTs to flow freely between various blockchains. The platform connects dApps, traders, token minters, and owners, creating a foundation for the global NFT market.
NiftMint (@niftmint)
NiftMint is an enterprise retail-focused company that allows brands to build awareness and loyalty. They do all this while selling new digital products on their sites. The good news is that these sellers don’t have to manage or even introduce crypto to their customers.
Gaming
Harmony World (@harmonyworld_)
Harmony World is a Sandbox-style multiplayer game where players explore a vast metaverse characterized by unique intertwined experiences. The same game offers a chance to create user-generated content for story-driven adventures.
GOGA (@gogaglobal)
GOGA is a blockchain-based Learn-to-Earn app. This NFT game-based learning utilizes artificial intelligence to teach learners English. The approach is simple as learners absorb English with game-like learning activities and challenging person-to-person battles. Players can unlock new levels and earn NFTs and GOGA tokens, tradeable on the GOGA marketplace.
DAO
Harmony Nigeria DAO (@HarmonyNaijaDAO)
Harmony Nigeria DAO is creating a blockchain community of developers, dreamers, and builders across different states in Nigeria. The country is one of the most populous in Africa, with over 200 million people. Nigeria is also a leader in blockchain and cryptocurrency adoption. In the first three months, the DAO will create a community for Harmony Protocol in the country and then train developers.
Labor Guild Games (@LaborGuildGames)
Labor Guild Games is the first metaverse on the Harmony protocol. The guild has various tasks such as onboarding players for gamefi projects, adopting an NFT-rental platform, and setting up a Launchpad for games. The platform is designed to help grassroots members fit in the modern metaverse world. A DAO will govern LGG, and token holders and guild members will share all the profits.
Harmony Validator DAO (@DaoHarmony)
The Harmony Validator DAO represents, strengthens, and expands the Harmony Validator and Delegator community. The DAO mandates various tasks such as bootstrapping thousands of elected validators, supporting high staking rates, and facilitating proposals for protocol upgrades.
Infrastructure
MeetWithWallet (@meetwithwallet)
MeetWithWallet provides a unique approach to scheduling meetings on Web 3. Users don’t need mail IDs to schedule meetings using their crypto wallets. The good thing with the platform is that the private information is only accessible by you, and all the information is encrypted, and only your wallet can decrypt it. MeetWithWallet also only presents the meeting participants with the meeting’s private details.
vStatsBot
vStatsBot Add-on is a server-side script that grabs the necessary information from a node and sends it to vStats with an authenticated token. Validator address, hostname, signing mode, and blskey list are examples of pieces of data that this add-on will collect. vStat is tasked with comparing the data from every server to determine whether there is a match or not.
Wrapping Up
Harmony protocol continues to gain traction, evidenced by the volume of proposals submitted. The protocol supports different sectors of the blockchain ecosystem, such as DeFi, NFTs, and DAOs.
